When I text ChaCha, it says that it doesn't understand my question. I have a Blackberry, can I fix this?

First, check your phone's Language setting. To set it correctly, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Blackberry Applications page (Blackberry icon)
  2. Scroll towards the bottom of the page and look for settings (wrench icon)
  3. Select the Language option.
  4. Make sure Language and Input Language are set to 'English (United States)'.
  5. Save your settings, or your changes will not work.

The second is the SMS encoding setting. To set it correctly, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Blackberry Applications page (Blackberry icon)
  2. Scroll towards the bottom of the list, look for Settings (wrench icon)
  3. Look for the menu option named 'SMS' or 'SMS Text'
  4. Locate the 'Data Encoding' setting and set it to the default '7-bit' encoding.
  5. Again, remember to Save your settings, or your changes will not work.

Once these settings are adjusted, you're ready to start asking ChaCha questions!
